Coralia Textiles is a small business based in La Paz, Bolivia, that works according to fair trade principles. Coralia is dedicated to making the finest alpaca“s clothes, bringing your contemporary designs that incorporate traditional Bolivian designs. Coralia produces
alpaca ponchos,
scarves for adults and we carry a variety of alpaca wear for kids and babies including
scarves, hats, dresses and other accessories.
Coralia believes that by using local resources and designs and by paying their artisans a fair wage and working according to Fair Trade Principles is the key to promoting a successful textile sector in Bolivia that creates dignified working standards and prosperity for all those involved.
Coralia employs 15 direct workers (2 men and 13 women) and works with an additional 15 workers from independent workshops, of which 80 % are women.
Coralia sees itself not only as a small business but as a resource to small and micro-enterprises seeking to create high quality niche products based on Bolivia's potentials. They design and provide trainings for the artisans that they employ as well as the artisans who work with them.
