Artesania Sorata

Artesania Sorata was established in 1978 in the town of Sorata, located in a valley fours hours by car from La Paz, but a world's away. Artesania Sorata works with artisans in both rural and urban areas and is a Fair Trade Organization. The process for creating their products is based on the work of highly skilled artisans, who utilize traditional techniques including dyeing wool using natural colors and hand knitting all of their wool products. Their product designs infuse the tradition of the Andes, including images as well as symbols. Their products are truly unique and original. Amongst the items that Artesania Sorata produces, we carry handwoven blankets, dolls, sweaters, hats and mittens for babies and kids.
